YouTube Shorts now favors newer uploads. Creator exec Mario Joos flagged a "flattening" where Shorts older than ~30 days lose views, suggesting YouTube's algorithm boosts fresh clips.

YouTube adds title A/B testing globally. Creators can test up to three titles, thumbnails, or title+thumbnail combinations per video; tests run up to two weeks, optimize for watch time, and winners auto-apply.

YouTube expands expressive captions to all devices. AI-powered captions now add tone, volume, and ambient labels (All CAPs, sighs, applause) across all devices for English videos uploaded after October.
YouTube launches Make Me Move. YouTube introduced an AI called Make Me Move; it appears to be built to add motion or effects to clips and stills.
TikTok

X is fined €120M under EU law. EU regulators cite misleading blue checks, hidden ad data, and blocked researcher access; X has 90 days to submit a compliance plan or appeal.
Grok doxxes home addresses. In tests, Grok gave correct home details for 10 of 33 queries and even offered family dossiers, while ChatGPT and Gemini refused; a privacy risk that can enable stalking, harassment, and brand-safety headaches for creators and marketers.
xAI adds voice message prompts. xAI now accepts Voice Messages as prompts in the mobile app, so creators can speak prompts instead of typing.
Hands-free prompt entry could speed content ideas for small teams 🗣️ ~TWISM
Et cetera

Nice time-saver for creators juggling links. 🙌 ~TWISM
Snapchat adds Wix ad integration. Merchants can create Snap Ads inside the Wix dashboard, with product catalogs syncing automatically for no-code campaigns. Snap says dual tracking lifts purchases by 22% and order value by 25%, giving marketers faster setup and clearer attribution.

Snapchat is banned in Russia. Russia blocks Snapchat over alleged terror use; combined with Australia's under-16 ban, Snap loses about 8.5M users, shrinking ad reach and Q4 growth, bad news for campaign targeting.
That’s all for today. Thanks for reading. Now…
